Hotel Splendid - Baveno

Can recommend for a quick stopover

Beautiful terrace, spacious room, with fine views of the lake and mountains making it a fantastic spot to relax and enjoy the sunset over a lovely dinner at the restaurant, and the location is convenient as it's just a few minutes from the promenade and access to boat tickets for island tours.

Everything was as expected.

A relaxing stay in a hotel with a super athmosphere. Very friendly staff, excellent service, big room and bathroom, quiet location. The best is the breakfast on the terrasse or sitting in the bar area in the evening overlooking the Lago Maggiore. Many thanks!

What a gem! The private beach was perfect for lazy afternoons, and we even booked a water taxi for island hopping that was a total win.

The view from our room was amazing, and we loved the beautiful outdoor spaces where we enjoyed family gatherings. The staff provided really good service, turning our elderly mother's mobility challenge into a non-issue with a complimentary wheelchair.

My children wished there were coffee machines in the rooms.

Nicely decorated room with a great bed and a free internet. Good food and good drinks. Location close to nearby Stresa with excellent restaurants as well as the lake side. Lovely pool, parking outside👍😃

Very beautiful hotel located in a picturesque place, directly on the lake shore. It is clean and tidy everywhere. Special compliment to the staff of the restaurant for breakfast, high level service. Small, well equipped own beach, bordering the park Fedora. Cozy bar, nice tennis table in the game room, comfortable bed and comfortable bathroom in the room.

Location ... The room with the declared view of the lake or pool, in fact looked at the roof of the bar and the tree opposite (I'll be honest, a piece of lake was also visible, the pool-not). Next to the balcony room was a passage to the pool, so a comfortable rest on the balcony was also excluded. At the reception said that the room provided - room overlooking the lake ... Resume - a good hotel, but be very careful when checking in.

Facilities, staff and food were outstanding. Room was new, with beautiful and functional furnishings. Staff went out of their way to ensure we were well taken care of. For the value, I would highly recommend the hotel. Location served us well to as we explored the Lake Maggiore region.

The location by the lake is fantastic, with a private beach, made swimming good. The breakfast buffet offered an excellent selection, particularly the tasty salads and fresh honeycomb. The fitness room needs improvement. The TV was out of order, and there weren't enough towels available. While dinner had some enjoyable dishes, the menu could use more variety to please everyone.

The hotel is in a magnificent settting on the lakeside of Lake Maggiore - with no road in front to mar the view and tranquillity (many of the hotels have the main road along the lake between them and the shore). The decor is ornate and a bit over the top but gives a genuine sense of grandeur and luxury. The restaurant has a view to die for and breakfast in the mornings is a delight. We were upgraded to a Senior Suite on the top floor so can't complain!

the mattresses are rather hard for English tastes!

The hotel is on the lake Maggiore lakeside, 10 minutes walk from Baveno. It is very luxoriously decorated, has a small outdoor pool, with a large sun bathing area, a private beach on the lake with plenty of sunbeds, a large bar area indoors and out, and a spa with sauna, steam room and spa pool. We had a junior suite which was fabulous, large and very comfortable. A balcony overlooked the lake and was great to watch the sunrise, and very private to sunbathe. Marble bathroom had a large whirlpool bath, double shower, bidet and 2 sinks. Lounge was large with comfortable settees, nicely wood panelled. Restaurant and service were excellent. Staff were exceptional. Suggest using the Alibus from Malpensa airport, 9 euros and dropped off at the hotel - perfect.

It is a little outside of Baveno, but Baveno does not have much to offer itself.

Great private beach access, but air conditioning was a bit noisy at night.

One of the best, if not the best, hotels I have ever had a chance to stay in. More like a 5 star than 4 star. Great staff, beautiful furnishing, attention to every detail, not very expensive. We got an upgrade to better room without specific request. The breakfast served in the room was great. Definitely will come back in the future and recommend it to friends.

Not even a single thing was wrong in this hotel.

The view from our room was fantastic, and we enjoyed relaxing by the pool and on the sun terrace during our stay. We also loved the easy beach access for a quick dip in the lake. A small downside was that breakfast wasn't included, but overall, it was a delightful experience! 😊
